A quick update this week: Friends of 88.5 is entering into negotiations with Pacific Lutheran University to purchase KPLU. It is our hope that we will negotiations concluded by the end of this month.
The campaign is officially over, but Friends of 88.5 FM still needs your support. Any donations made on this site will go toward the operating budget of the Friends group. As a new organization, having immediate funds is critical. Donations will go toward basic start-up costs and will also prepare Friends of 88.5 to begin operating the new independent station from a healthy financial position. Thank you for your continued support!
There are still Save KPLU events planned throughout June. All money raised at remaining events will go to the Friends of 88.5 FM operating budget. You can find details for these events on the KPLU Calendar page.
- June 11: Take an Argentine Tango Class and support Save KPLU at Dance Underground in Seattle.
